TSS Consulting, Ltd. is a subsidiary of Technical Search Services, Ltd. which was incorporated in Arizona in 1988. TSS was originally acquired in 1985 as a California entity and operated as tandem agencies in Phoenix and in Westlake Village in Southern California. In 1989 the operation was then consolidated and relocated to the Biltmore area of Phoenix where it remains today. TSS is an Arizona “S” Corporation and is solely owned by John R. McDonald who has enjoyed success in the high-technology retained executive search business since 1976.

At TSS we understand how enterprises function and have the requisite business acumen, insight and tenacity to find qualified candidates for companies throughout the U.S. and abroad. We bring to clients practical hands-on expertise in design engineering, sales and marketing, field applications and hardware product development. Our staff consists of three principal consultants and two research and sourcing assistants. TSS is strategically positioned between the sole search practitioner and the large, multi-office recruiting organization. Like a large firm, we have the critical mass of expertise and resources necessary to meet client requirements without the slower pace and conflicts-of-interest inherent to larger search organizations. Like a small firm, we also have the focus and agility required to fill positions quickly.
